AA Fords with a closed cab (82-A or 82-B) or those having a closed body came with a left side view mirror installation only. A right side view mirror or an interior rear view mirror was not provided with these AA’s. The table below identifies the left side view mirror installations (bracket and mirror) for each closed body or for each closed cab plus cargo body.

These brackets were used on the 1927 through mid 1930 AA body types.
A-17737 d1 – installed on the hinge pillar 3-1/4” from the bottom of the top hinge to the bracket center line. This bracket used two 1/4-20 hex. bolts (black enamel) and lock washers.
A-17737 d2 – installed on the hinge pillar using the sun visor screws or 3-3/8” from the bottom of the top hinge to the bracket center line. This bracket used two 1/4″-20 oval head, slotted machine screws (Nickel plated).
A-17741 and A-17745 – installed to d-nuts in the hinge pillar 6-3/4” from the bottom of top hinge to the bracket center line. These brackets used two 5/16″-24 x 7/8 dome (oval) headed hex. bolts and lock washers. Starting in April of 1929 a black fiber pad was used between the bracket and pillar.
These brackets were installed on mid 1930 to production end body types. They were installed on the top left door hinge.

Bracket A-17742-A used a chrome hinge pin. Other brackets used a 2” long, black enamel, A-80280-A hinge pin.
Bracket to hinge hardware (raven finish and black paint, head only) and used #12-24 (3/8″) special head screw (.435” head) and two 7/32″ (1/16″ x 27/64″) lock washer (tangleproof).
These brackets used a 5/16″-18 x 13/32″ acorn 7/16″ hex. bolt (raven finish and black paint, head only).
